Coping Skills Course 1
Ages 12-15
Welcome and 5 meetings
In this course, you will learn essential coping skills to support you both in your daily living and during difficult or stressful situations. The skills you develop in this course should help you now and in the future.
Using a foundation of the five basics of Mental Health, we will learn and practice various coping skills. The skill categories we will focus on are:
•Distracting
•Calming
•Focusing
•Thought management

This course requires prior registration as well as a short telephone orientation before the initial in-person session. All participants will start together in the first session. There will be no opportunities to make up any missed sessions. Students will leave each session with tangible tools to support them with their practice.
